The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Former twice unified title holder Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
Despite such comments, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK rival Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, consistently making massive earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for 2026.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers participated in the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really proceeding.
