Energy infrastructure targeted in the region
The country's energy systems have come under increased strikes in the past few days

Throughout the evening, Russian aerial assaults have caused electricity outages in extensive areas of the capital city, Kyiv.

Several individuals were injured while residents in the city's east were left without electricity and faced problems to water systems, according to local authorities.

At the same time, a young boy was fatally injured in a different assault in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southeastern part, according to local officials.

Russian forces has increased attacks on electrical systems over recent weeks, while Ukrainian leadership has requested "real steps" from partner nations to apply pressure on Moscow.

He said that 450 drones and several dozen rockets attacked the country's power systems, characterizing such attacks as "cynical and calculated" and against "essential services" as the weather cools.

The energy minister said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and technical staff were laboring to fix the damage.

A barrage of missiles damaged electrical systems and residential structures in the capital.

Several of the people injured in the strikes on the city have been transported for medical care, as confirmed by municipal representatives.

The entire country is on alert for advanced weapon attacks, which are tougher to detect.

Authorities told journalists that Russia was deliberately attempting to destroy the country's energy grid, with assaults already disrupting energy systems.

Officials stated technical personnel and government agencies were anticipating additional strikes.
